I am not one bit ashamed to say that yes, I am signed up for an online dating site (or two). I’m fully aware that I can meet someone in “real” life but I’m not afraid to keep this online dating an option for me. I’ve met some really great people online who I am friends with to this day. But my problem with these websites is the desperateness I’ve encountered. If I haven’t responded to the first two messages you’ve sent me I’m definitely not going to respond to the third, fourth or fifth; you just look dumb now. So I’d like to send this tip out to all of my readers: write a GOOD message (“hi, how are you” is not acceptable) and wait, have patience. If that person doesn’t respond then screw them and find someone else. There’s almost 7 trillion people in the world, sending someone five messages is just a waste of your time.
